Melissa Young is the founder of The Intersect, a female-owned social impact and justice-oriented strategy consulting firm working to catalyze a more equitable world.

Over her 20-year career, Melissa has held multiple senior leadership roles where she developed and grew teams, campaigns, and projects across research, evaluation, data analytics, public policy and advocacy, field and organizing work – all focused on addressing the root causes of poverty and inequity.

Melissa has written extensively on economic justice issues, workforce development, and equity.
